It´s your day, your way!

A wedding ceremony is the event where a legally binding marriage is entered into.
You can choose either a civil ceremony or a religious one – the choice is entirely yours and should reflect what feels right for you as a couple.
The decision is often influenced by your personal values, traditions, and lifestyle. For those who are not religious, a civil ceremony may feel more fitting, while a religious ceremony may appeal to those seeking a spiritual element.
No matter which option you choose, it’s your moment to celebrate love and make it uniquely yours.

THE CIVIL CEREMONY
Choosing a civil ceremony doesn’t mean you have to compromise on the celebrations.
The main difference is that the officiant isn’t religious, and the ceremony doesn’t take place in a church. Otherwise, you can design your day however you like!
Many couples who opt for a civil ceremony still dream of wearing a beautiful wedding dress, carrying stunning bouquets, and having bridesmaids by their side.
And of course, there’s often a fabulous wedding party to follow. But if you prefer something simple and intimate – without the dresses and fanfare – that works just as well.

THE CHURCH CEREMONY
For centuries, the church has been the traditional place for weddings, and for many, it feels just right to say “I do” in a setting filled with history and spirituality.
If you’re a member of the Church of Sweden, getting married in a church is free of charge. All you need to do is contact your parish, book a priest, and choose the church that suits you best.
A church wedding follows a beautiful ritual.
The priest begins by speaking about the significance of marriage. You’ll then answer the traditional vows, the priest will pray for you, and the ceremony concludes with a blessing.
And now you’re married!
For many couples, a church wedding is about more than just the ceremony—it’s the traditions, the atmosphere, and the meaningful rituals that make the day truly special.
If you’re dreaming of a classic wedding with a deep sense of solemnity, the church is the perfect place.
